Android 16 is set to be released by June 2025 and Google is continuously updating the operating system with new betas for users to test. Android 16 brings features like

In addition to Google Pixel partner manufacturers like Samsung and Xiaomi makes some of their devices eligible to the beta Programs. So let us see which Xiaomi devices are eligible.

As of now only selected high end Xiaomi devices listed above is eligible for the program.

How to update your Xiaomi device to Android 16 beta

If you are lucky enough to have these devices you follow the below instructions

Step 1: Open the dedicated ANDROID 16 DEVELOPER PREVIEW PROGRAM page by Xiaomi

Step 2: Make sure you are updated to the latest version of HyperOS for your device. The minimum version is mentioned in the beta page

Step 3: Download the ROM version for your device and copy to your phone storage

Step 4:Enable developer mode in your phone. Refer this article HyperOS how to enable developer options on how to do that.

Step 5: Next open the Os update page(Steps here) by going to about phone, click the HyperOS icon and select choose update package by pressing three dots above.

Step 6: Select the downloaded ROM file in your phone storage and your update will start. Make sure to backup all your data before doing this.
