As we reported earlier that HyperOS 2.1 is being tested for Xiaomi 14 Ultra news about more devices which will receive the update has come out. This follows Xiaomi's announcement that in addition to security updates HyperOS will receive three minor upgrades for each HyperOS version. So this 2.1 update will be the first in that series.

Following are the updates you can expect from HyperOS 2.1,
System animations
- New: During the process of opening or closing apps, the full screen indicator follows the window's movement
- New: When quickly opening and closing apps, multiple app animations are displayed simultaneously
- New: After turning off the Home screen search bar, a 4×6 layout option becomes available
- New: Flashlight brightness adjustment page
- New: Certain devices now support adjustable flashlight brightness
- New: Notification spotlight for flashlight
- New: Game Turbo performance dashboard
- Optimization: Game Turbo interface improvements
