Google Play System comprises of major Android components that Google has decoupled and allows to be updated every month without waiting for the device manufacturer for pushing security updates. These updates not only includes security updates but also new features for existing components like Media module which will provide services video or audio playback and even Bluetooth module. The module is also useful for developers who can make use of updated APIs which could increase compatibility with devices with older verison of Android.
While Xiaomi does a good job in providing security updates it is also important to keep your HyperOS based device updated with the latest Google Play System update. If for whatever reason the system may not be updated automatically in your device then you can follow the below steps,
Step 1: Go to your settings app and select the Security status option
Step 2: Select the Google Play system update option
Step 3: The next page will check for the latest Google Play system update automatically and if present it will download the latest version and the reboot option will come ate the bottom.
