Poco X6 Pro the affordable smartphone from Poco with flagship grade processor has got yet another update that to within less than two months of previous one. Interestingly the update skips a number and goes from 1.0.9.0 to 1.0.11.0 which means that some big changes could be added.

AI Features
Two AI features has been added namely AI Erase Pro and Intelligent Image Expansion which was announced earlier by Xiaomi for HyperOS. You can read the full list of promised AI features here. Both of the features seems to use cloud based AI as it doesn't work without internet.
AI Erase Pro supports removing objects and people where removing people works fairly well.
The Intelligent Image expansion can expand the image to increase the size with AI filling the missing content. This feature also can work fairly well.
To enable the AI features you have to go to the gallery app open a photo and click edit. In the edit page you will see three dots at the bottom right, you have to press it and open manage plugins. Already a plugin will be ready to download for AI Expansion/AI Erase Pro which will 823 MB. On downloading you will be able to access the two AI features in gallery.
While it is promising AI features are getting added it could have been offline as Poco X6 Pro has a dedicated NPU for AI tasks. Further there are reports of some paid plans for Xiaomi AI features. Also one of the shortcomings of Poco X6 Pro is its battery life which I felt went backwards with 1.0.9.0 update. I will test in detail the current update and let you know whether the battery life has improved.
