One of the features of Android is the screen on time in the battery settings which will allow you to know how much time the screen was on for the last 24 hours. This is an important measure for many on understanding the battery life of a phone as more screen on time means more battery life.
Unfortunately in HyperOS Xiaomi has disabled the feature and hence there is no straight forward method to calculate it. In this article we will describe two methods you can use to find the screen on time for your phone.
Method 1: Using the Digital Wellbeing & Parental Control app
What is Digital Wellbeing App?
The Digital Wellbeing app is a powerful app provided by Google for you to disconnect from smartphones so that you don't get addicted to it as well as your children. The app provides multiple features like assigning usage time after which the app will be blocked, Setting a bedtime mode which will automatically disable all the notifications while you sleep and Focus mode which allows you to temporarily blocks application from disturbing you when you want to concentrate on something offline.
Steps to check for Screen on time for a particular day
Step 1:
Go to settings and open the Digital Wellbeing & Parental Control option
Step 2: Find the screen on time listed in the circle with how much time used for each app.
Note: This will give screen on time for a particular day and not how much from one full charge to next.
Method 2: Screen on time using AccuBattery

Steps to check for Screen on time for a Charging Cycle
Step 1:
After installing AccuBattery app follow this article to make sure the app always runs in the background HyperOS how to make sure apps run in the background
Step 2:
Open the app and select the Discharging option.
Next you will find the screen on time under Battery Usage and Screen On card
This will give you the screen on time for your current charge. Also at the bottom of the page you can find the average screen on time also. AccuBattery recommends couple of days till they can calculate the screen on time correctly.
